Taking into consideration the high thermal background and the fire hazardous situation in the republic, at the beginning of the summer  Minister of Nature Protection Erik Grigoryan instructed the Chairman of Committee of  Forest  and Directors of SNCOs executing preservation and management of specially protected areas of nature to conduct necessary preventive measures. It was put forward emergency preparedness toolkit for primary situation and a twenty-four-hour duty is supervised in the areas under the above mentioned SNCOs. The maintenance of firefighting rules by the population is prioritized in this situation. The Ministry of Nature Protection calls for the residents to be caring, staying away from lighting a fire in forest areas and grasslands, and if necessary, to do so only in the areas designated for that purpose with mandatory maintenance of safety norms. It is strictly prohibited to accomplish stubble burning in harvested cereal crop fields.
