The final event of the environmental poster contest took place

Today, the final event of the environmental poster contest was held in the frames of “Environmental protection through painting” event scopes co-organized by the Ministry of Nature Protection and Artists’ Union of Armenia.          To Highlight the importance of fostering eco culture, a memorandum was signed between the RA Ministry of Nature Protection and Artists’ Union of Armenia. A number of events were carried out within the framework of “Environmental protection through painting”. The artists' visit to “Khosrov Forest” state reserve, "Jrvezh" Forest Park was conducted. It was also decided on holding environmental poster contest under the aegis of the Ministry of Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia. 26 artists partook in the competition, presenting 50 works. A committee on summarizing the results of the contest has been set up, which consists of the officers of Artists’ Union of Armenia and the Ministry of Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia. 20 participants were presented with  Certificates of Appreciation for their remarkable works in the environmental poster contest by the RA Ministry of Nature Protection. The six awardees who were conferred upon by the Competition Commission were encouraged with prize money. Congratulating the awardees and extending a vote of thanks to the Artists’ Union of Armenia for organizing of the contest, RA Minister of Nature Protection Artsvik Minasyan noted: "Responsible attitude towards the environment is every human’s essence and nature, if he does not live in harmony with his nature and essence, thus can not create, generate and in general, survive and being developed. If you demonstrate an approach with consumer psychology towards nature, it will punish you, if you regard it as a part of your essence, the environment where you and your future generation should be able to create and go ahead, then the nature will provide that opportunity to you”. The RA Minister of Nature Protection considered the initial submission of environmental issues through the posters successful, which created prerequisites for ensuring continued planning of similar events. "If not artists, then who should flag  environmental issues, using creation language": Artsvik Minasyan emphasized and expressed confidence that the public will promote solutions of environmental issues through  disseminating posters in the republic.  Chairman of the Artists’ Union of Armenia Karen Aghamyan, thanked the RA Ministry of Nature Protection for caring attitude towards environmental sphere and attached importance to the first experience of revealing environmental issues through posters. In the course of the event, an absorbing discussion was led over the participants’ opinions of the contest commission and the awardees made acceptance speeches.
