OnDecember 6 RA Minister of Nature Protection Artsvik Minasyan had a meeting with UN Food and Agriculture Organization /FAO/ Representative Raymond Yellen. The Minister expressed his thanks for the help as well as ongoing programs realized in Armenia, stating, that the latter considerably assisted the RA Government in achieving capacity building and extraordinary projects. Artsvik Minasyan emphasized in his speech that the RA MNP can be a principal partner alongside FAO and attributed importance to the issues on nature protection and sustainable utilization of natural resources included within current programing framework of the organization. Raymond Yellen thanked for the reception, stressing that Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations suggests innovative international best practices and the RA Ministry of Nature Protection is ready to assist while tackling several issues related to productive use of water resources, land degradation, forestry. In addition, FAO Representative noted that Food and Agriculture Organization can implement the projects supported by Green Climate Fund (CGF). The Minister expressed his gratitude for the willingness to cooperate and considered the joint cooperation confident thus providing illustrative outcomes for various departments, international public and other countries.
