Khachik Hakobyan Deputy Minister of Nature Protection participated in Working Group meeting of EU Water Initiative in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia taking place in Paris (May 11-13) at the invitation of OECD. At the meeting within the scope of EU Water Initiative in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia issues related to national dialogue implementation, water supply, drainage, integrated management of water resources, legal and institutional reforms in water sphere as well as improvement of current collaboration and water policy were discussed.   Additionally, further activities of Working Group of EU Water Initiative and works to be implemented in EECCA were considered. Khachik Hakobyan mentioned in his speech institutional and legislative reforms, particularly significant work carried out for the effective management of water resources within the last 2 years.   Participation in the above mentioned meeting has enabled us to illustrate the position of Armenia concerning both implemented and future regional and local activities within the framework of EU Water Initiative.
