A delegation headed by Minister of Nature Protection Aramayis Grigoryan is in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republicon a two-day working visit. Within the scope of the visit the officials met Presidentof Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan and Deputy Prime Minister, Arthur Aghabekyan. At the meeting with President Sahakyan, Minister Grigoryan expressed his hope for an effective cooperation in the nature protection sphere between Armenia and Artsakh. He noted: “The Ministry of Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia is taking successful steps towards integrating into a number of environmental organizations and is looking forward to the active involvement of NKR into programs implemented under their auspices.” At the meeting the parties discussed issues related to the environment and the collaboration of the two countries. Head of the NKR Department of Environment and Natural Resources Komitas Karapetyan participated in the meeting. The discussion related to the sphere continued with Deputy Prime Minister A. Aghabekyan. Greeting the guests he highlighted the importance of cooperation between the two parties as a major effort towards ensuring the preservation and exploitation of natural resources. He hoped to see positive outputs in the near future. Deputy Prime Minister awarded Minister Aramayis Grigoryan with the Medal of Honor of NKR Prime Minister appreciating his services to the homeland. Thanking for the warm reception and the award, Aramayis Grigoryan assured to broaden the cooperation to improve the legislative field, inspection mechanisms and organizational procedures of laboratory research. At the end of the meeting Aramayis Grigoryan presented Deputy Prime Minister with аcopy of the Republic of Armenia Red Book on Plants and Animals. In his turn, Mr Aghabekyan gave the guests his gift: the Nagorno-Karabakh bee-keepers’ product packed by “Artsakh Meghr” company.
