The session of the Board attached to the RA Minister of Nature Protection took place headed by Minister of Nature ProtectionAramayis Grigoryan. Chairman of the Board Aramayis Grigoryan opening the session greeted the participants and submitted the agenda to the approval of the Board. Anait Aleksandryan, head of Hazardous Substances and Waste Policy Division, Vigen Avetisyan, head of Department of Underground Resources and land protection policy and Gagik Manucharyan, acting head of Environmental Protection Policy Division gave a speech. Discussing the current problems existing in waste management sphere and their solutions, the Board decided to suggest the heads of Hazardous Substances and Waste Policy Division and Legal Department continue to improve legal sector to manage wastes efficiently. First Deputy MinisterSimon Papyan, the heads of Waste and Atmosphere Emissions Management Agency,  Hazardous Substances and Waste Policy Division and Department of International Cooperation were assigned to negotiate with international donor organizations to acquire financial means.  Referring to the issue of regulating continual observation defined with environmental aspects and management plans on complex exploitation of mines of hard minerals, the Board decided to suggest First Deputy MinisterSimon Papyanand the head of Department of Underground Resources to request the RA Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources while making amendments to the RA Legislation on Underground Resources on behalf of the RA Ministryof Nature Protection to consider while exploitation with up to date technologies and geological-economical assessment, before verifying the mine resources and submitting the report with an authorized body to the RA Ministry of Nature Protection, as well as suggest the heads of Underground Resources and Legal Departments present legal amendments which will result in exploiters’ report submission to the RA Ministry of Nature Protection on environmental activities envisaged under environmental management plan. Considering the issue of the 3rd point of the 2nd trimester to be discussed approved by 2015 annual project of the Board under the RA Minister of Nature Protection, the Board aimed to approve Armenia’s membership ofEUROBATS and AEWA agreements. At the end of the session Aramayis Grigoryan thanked the Board members and speakers for the productive job.
