Aramayis Grigoryan received Teimuraz Murgulia First Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia

RA Minister of Nature Protection Aramayis Grigoryan received the delegation headed by Teimuraz Murgulia First Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia. Welcoming the guests and appreciating Armenian-Georgian neighborly relations the Minister hoped that the visit will be the start of more closely and active collaboration. Teimuraz Murgulia, in his turn thanking for the warm reception assured that in environmental sector the partnership of Armenia and Georgia is on stable bases which is the best prerequisite for the more closely cooperation and joint projects. First Deputy Minister Teimuraz Murgulia as the Director of Aarhus Centers in Georgia suggested the cooperation of Aarhus Centers of the two countries in the sectors of raising ecological education and public awareness, experience exchange, etc. The Minister greeted the guest’s initiative and promised to have an impact in the future. As a country doing the first steps in exporting spawns, Georgia taking into consideration the Armenian experience asked for professional consultation on relevant thesis of CITES international convention. The Armenian side reflected upon the development of joint programs, their implementation as well as strengthening the transboundary collaboration within the scope of environmental convention ratified by the two republics. The parties proudly noted that Armenia and Georgia are participants of 12 environmental conventions. At the end of the meeting the parties exchanged souvenirs symbolizing the two countries, afterwards the consultation group set up according to the Minister’s order continued the works on the application of CITES convention requirements.
