Invitation to participate in the application review procedure of grant projects
The RA Ministry of Environment invites experts from relevant educational, scientific, non-governmental and other organizations, as well as independent experts, to participate in the procedure of assessing the applications of the grant projects to be submitted by the schools of the four target cities of Syunik region of the Republic of Armenia: Kapan, Kajaran, Meghri and Agarak, as well as the small-scale start-up business applications submitted by the households of those cities within the framework of SPPA-A program’s Financial Participatory Approach (FPA 3) component’s 3rd stage.

The Minister of Environment Romanos Petrosyan held a consultation on the inventoried buildings and structures on the shores of Lake Sevan, the provision of their lease rights, and the dismantling of illegal buildings.

64 illegal fishing nets were withdrawn from Lake Sevan after commercial fishing season
Conditioned by the period of whitefish natural reproduction, the commercial fishing season at Lake Sevan ended on December 1, 2020. The entry of any swimming means into Lake Sevan was banned, and intensified control has been established throughout Armenia.

The Ministry of Environment, in the face of Minister Romanos Petrosyan, and “Armenian National Agrarian University'' Foundation, in the face of Rector Vardan Urutyan, have signed a memorandum of cooperation.
Addressing the guests at the Ministry of Environment, Minister Romanos Petrosyan once again attached importance to the close cooperation between the state agencies and the educational institutions of the republic.

22 fishing nets were withdrawn from Lake Sevan, 5153 whitefish were confiscated
Taking into consideration the note (November 30, 2020) of the Minister of Environment of the Republic of Armenia, and the five-sided activities on the period of natural whitefish reproduction, in a bid to ensure the natural fish reproduction, on December 2020 and on January 2021, 5,153 whitefish (weighing 1,837 kg) were confiscated at Dilijan checkpoints, from the shores and water mirror area of Lake Sevan, due to joint supervision and preventive measures performed by the workers of “Sevan” Road Police, the Inspectorate for Nature Protection and Mineral Resources and the workers of “Sevan” national park SNCO and the Police.
