March 21 was officially celebrated as International Day of Forests around the world
The first International Day of Forests was marked on March 21, 2013. It was proclaimed on December 21, 2012, by the decree of the United Nations General Assembly. International Day of Forests has been set up as a global platform for people interested in forest preservation and mitigating the impacts of global climate change.
Today is World Water Day
Every year on March 22, World Water Day is celebrated. The idea to mark it was voiced at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (Earth Summit), took place in 1992 in Rio de Janeiro, writes Calend.

Agreements of 1 million 920 thousand Euros for the implementation of three-year works
The Caucasus Nature Fund (CNF), the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia, 4 SNCOs under the subordination of the MoE, have signed the CNF-funded three-year support agreements, according to which the total amount of financial assistance is 1 million 920 thousand Euros.
Receipt of applications for the 2nd phase of the industrial fishing season at Lake Sevan launches
By the Annex of N1603-N decree (September 29, 2020) of the Government of the Republic of Armenia on "Approving 2021 Action Plan for restoration, preservation, reproduction and use of Lake Sevan ecosystem", industrial whitefish hunting amounts at Lake Sevan for 2021 were approved.

In a bid to streamline the sustainable use of biosphere reserves in Lake Sevan and the socio-economic problems of the area, a pilot project of industrial fishing at Lake Sevan was launched in 2020.
In 2020, 255 contracts to do fishing of about 236 tons of whitefish were signed between the Ministry of Environment and fishers.
